Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 egg, whisked
- 2/3 cup flour
- ½ cup cornstarch
- ½ teaspoon salt
- Pepper, to taste
- Avocado oil, for frying
- Bang Bang Sauce
- ¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 ½ teaspoons sriracha sauce
- 2 ¼ tablespoons ketchup
- 1 ½ teaspoons soy sauce
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt, to taste
Directions
- Stir together all sauce ingredients and set aside.
- Whisk together flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper in a wide bowl.
- Dip shrimp in egg, then dredge in the flour mixture. Shake off excess and place on a baking sheet or plate. Repeat with all shrimp.
- Heat a thin layer of oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Working in batches, fry shrimp, making sure not to crowd the pan — wait until the bottom of the shrimp is golden brown before flipping, then flip and cook through on the other side.
- Remove from skillet and repeat until all shrimp are fried.
- Dip in sauce and enjoy!
