Ingredients
- Dough:
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1 tablespoon yeast
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons salted butter, softened
- 1 large egg
- 3 cups flour
- Filling:
- 1/2 cup salted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- Glaze:
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup salted butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1-2 tablespoons milk
Directions
- In a mixer, combine warm milk, yeast, sugar, salt, butter, and egg.
- Add flour using the dough hook and mix at low speed. Increase the speed of the mixer as the flour incorporates into the mixture. Add flour until the dough is tacky but not sticking to your hands.
- Transfer dough to a greased bowl and let rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Grease baking sheet. Punch down dough and roll out to 12 inches by 18 inches.
- Brush dough with 1/2 cup melted butter. Combine the brown sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle on top of the butter.
- Roll up lengthwise and cut dough into 12 1-inch slices.
- Place rolls in a 9x13 inch pan and let rise for 30-45 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Bake rolls for 14 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Make glaze while rolls are baking and glaze the rolls when they are still warm.
