Before you start: The cake fractions as written — 1/3, then 1/2, then 1/3 — add up to more than one cake. Divide it into three roughly equal parts, one per layer.

  • 1 small box lime Jell-O
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries

  3. Top with ice cream (1/2 gallon vanilla total).
  4. Add 1/2 of the cake, the lime Jell-O, the frozen blueberries, and more ice cream.
  5. Add 1/3 of the cake, the orange Jell-O and the drained mandarin oranges, then top with ice cream.
  6. Freeze.
