Chocolate Dessert

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cookie crumbs
  • 1/2 cup sugar, divided into 1/4 cups
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese
  • 1 tub (12 ounces) Cool Whip
  • 1 cup chopped chocolate covered candy bars
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 2 packages (4-serving size) instant chocolate pudding mix

Directions

  1. Combine cookie crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar and butter together and put in a 9x13 inch pan. Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
  2. Beat together cream cheese and the remaining 1/4 cup sugar until smooth. Stir in half of the whipped topping. Spread evenly over the crust.
  3. Sprinkle crushed candy bars over the cream cheese. Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
  4. Combine milk and pudding mix. Whip together for 1 minute. Pour over the candy layer. Let stand for 5 minutes or until thickened.
  5. Top with remaining whipped cream. Refrigerate.
