Cinnamon Custard

Small stovetop custard of one egg and milk, stirred just to coating thickness and served warm with cinnamon.

Ingredients

  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 4 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • Dash of ground cinnamon

Directions

  1. In a small saucepan combine the beaten egg, milk and sugar.
  2. Cook and stir over medium heat until the mixture just coats the back of a spoon.
  3. Stir in the vanilla and a dash of ground cinnamon. Remove custard from heat.
  4. Place saucepan in a bowl of ice water for about 10 minutes to stop the cooking process, if desired. Serve immediately.
