Crème de Menthe Brownies
Chocolate syrup brownies baked in a jellyroll pan, spread with a peppermint crème de menthe layer and a poured chocolate glaze.

Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 4 eggs
- 1 16-ounce can chocolate syrup
- 1 cup flour
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup butter (for second layer)
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 4 tablespoons crème de menthe
- 12-ounce bag chocolate chips
- 4 tablespoons oil
Directions
- Cream sugar and butter; add eggs one at a time, beating after each.
- Add chocolate syrup and flour, beating well.
- Pour into a greased jellyroll pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Cool well.
- For the second layer, combine powdered sugar, butter, milk and peppermint extract with the crème de menthe; spread on bars. Refrigerate one hour until stiff on top.
- For the frosting, melt chocolate chips with oil, stir and spread on top. Refrigerate.
