Ingredients

  • 2 pounds green beans, trimmed
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 5 heads of dill
  • 5 tablespoons salt
  • 2 ½ cups water
  • 2 ½ cups white vinegar

Directions

  1. Pack beans lengthwise into hot pint canning jars, leaving ¼ inch head space. To each pint add 1 clove garlic, 1 head of dill, and 1 tablespoon salt.
  2. Combine water, vinegar, and remaining garlic and dill; bring to a boil.
  3. Pour, boiling hot, over beans, leaving ¼ inch head space.
  4. Adjust lids and process 10 minutes in a boiling water bath.
