Double Chocolate Crumble Bars

Before you start: The topping calls for 2 cups of peanut butter to 1 cup of chocolate chips, which is a lot of peanut butter for that much chocolate. That is how the card reads, but taste it before spreading.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup pecans
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups marshmallows
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 cups peanut butter
  • 1 1/2 cups Rice Krispies

Directions

  1. Cream the butter and sugar. Beat in the eggs and vanilla.
  2. Stir together and add the flour, pecans, cocoa, baking powder and salt.
  3. Spread in a greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes until done.
  4. Sprinkle 2 cups marshmallows evenly on top. Bake 3 minutes more. Cool.
  5. Combine 1 cup chocolate chips and 2 cups peanut butter and melt. Stir in 1 1/2 cups Rice Krispies. Spread on cooled bars.
  6. Chill and cut into bars; refrigerate.
