Mountain Dew Dumplings

Before you start: The card never says how much crescent dough to buy; two 8-count tubes gives you one triangle for each of the 16 apple pieces.

Ingredients

  • 2 large apples, cut into 16 pieces
  • 3/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • crescent roll dough
  • 1 can Mountain Dew

Directions

  1. Cut apples into 16 pieces.
  2. Melt butter, mix with sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon.
  3. Roll apple pieces into crescent roll dough. Place in greased 9 x 13 inch pan.
  4. Pour butter mixture over crescent rolls.
  5. Pour 1 can Mountain Dew over and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Cover the last 15 minutes.
  6. Serve slightly warm.
