Snickerdoodles (Soft Ones)

Butter cookies leavened with cream of tartar and soda, chilled, rolled in cinnamon sugar and flattened with a glass before baking.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 2 teaspoons soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Mix together and chill.
  2. Roll into balls and roll in cinnamon and sugar.
  3. Flatten with a glass and bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
