Spicy Porcupine Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 cup raw rice
  • ¼ cup chopped onion
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1 8 ounce can tomato sauce
  • 2 cups tomato juice
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1-2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 4 dashes liquid smoke
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients (except the sauce ingredients) in a bowl. Shape into 16 meatballs. Place in a 9 inch dish.
  2. Combine the sauce ingredients (tomato sauce, tomato juice, brown sugar, chili powder, liquid smoke, and Worcestershire sauce) and pour over the meatballs.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 ½ to 2 hours. You can also cook in a pressure cooker at 10 pounds of pressure for 10 minutes.
