Strawberry Ice Cream

Freezer ice cream started from strawberry Jell-O dissolved in boiling water, then beaten eggs, cream and vanilla, topped off with milk.

Before you start: The thawed frozen strawberries never appear in the steps — stir them in with the eggs, cream and vanilla.

Ingredients

  • 2 (3-ounce) packages strawberry Jell-O
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 4 eggs, well beaten
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 (10-ounce) package frozen strawberries, thawed
  • Milk, enough to fill freezer

Directions

  1. Dissolve Jell-O and sugar in the boiling water.
  2. Add eggs, cream, and vanilla; blend well.
  3. Add enough milk to fill the ice cream freezer.
