Super Meatballs

Three pounds of hamburger bound with oatmeal and evaporated milk, baked packed together under a catsup, honey and liquid smoke sauce.

I use this sauce on pork ribs and chicken too.

Before you start: The bake time reads "1/12 hours," which is almost certainly meant to be 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3 pounds hamburger
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 cups oatmeal
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 cups catsup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup honey
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon liquid smoke
  • 1 teaspoon garlic

Directions

  1. Mix meatball ingredients together. Make into meatballs; put into baking dish with meatballs touching.
  2. Combine sauce ingredients (catsup, brown sugar, honey, onion, liquid smoke, and garlic) and pour over the meatballs. Bake for 1/12 hours at 325 degrees.
