Sweet and Sour Baked Beans
Four kinds of beans baked with bacon and onion rings cooked down in brown sugar, dry mustard and cider vinegar.

Ingredients
- 8 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
- 4 large onions, cut in rings
- ½-1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ cup cider vinegar
- 1 (15 ounce) can dried limas, drained
- 1 (16 ounce) can green limas, drained
- 1 (16 ounce) can dark red kidney beans, drained
- 1 (17 ounce) can New England style baked beans, undrained
Directions
- Slice onions into bacon fat in a skillet; add brown sugar, mustard, garlic powder, salt and vinegar. Cook covered for 20 minutes.
- Add onions to beans and crumbled bacon.
- Pour into a 3-quart casserole and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, or cook in a crock-pot.
- Serves 12.
