Chocolate Scotcheroos

Rice Krispies bound with boiled sugar syrup and peanut butter, pressed into a pan and topped with melted chocolate and butterscotch chips.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies
  • 1-2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips

Directions

  1. Cook sugar and syrup until it boils.
  2. Stir in peanut butter until thoroughly mixed.
  3. Mix in Rice Krispies.
  4. Press into a buttered 13 x 9 pan. Let harden.
  5. Melt chips together and stir to blend.
  6. Spread over the Krispies mixture.
  7. Chill for about 5 minutes, until top is firm.
  8. Cut into bars and serve.
